This area of Northern Ireland has seen very little tourism, the welcome we received on a recent visit’s there has been second to none, the centre has a very nice lounge and friendly bar, and they have a traditional Sunday lunch at a recession busting price, it is beside the Gort Moss Walk and 200m from Coyles Cottage this traditional fisherman’s cottage can be visited for crafts, folklore etc. This area is level and ideal for walking and cycling.
There is a Saturday morning market in Cookstown and also a very interesting gift store in Ardboe for the shoppers.
On Saturday night music is on upstairs in the big hall, this is one for the Country and Western fans as the entertainment is provided by “The Indians” admission £7.50 and you can pay at the door.
The parking is tarmac and level come along and you can be assured of a warm welcome in this quiet corner of Ireland.
